Brigantine to host 'Bring Them Home' advocacy event, Nov. 9

BRIGANTINE - If you missed the Bring Them Home event held in Ventnor Nov. 3, there will be another event noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Brigantine Community Center, 265 42nd St.

During the event, members of the Jewish community in the South Jersey area will advocate for the release of the more than 200 innocent Israeli hostages being held captive by Hamas and urge President Joe Biden and government legislators to do everything in their power to Bring Them Home.'

Pictures of the hostages, including 32 children, will be on display and their names will be read aloud. Guests will be invited to take action to advocate for the release of all the hostages by signing letters or writing their own. The letters will be mailed to legislators to make clear their release is a top priority for American Jews.

The program is being hosted by Temple Beth Shalom of Brigantine and the Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, which has united more than 20 South Jersey Jewish organizations in the effort

Seeing the faces of the victims, especially the children, will energize the Jewish community to advocate for their safe release, federation Executive Director Rachel Walman said.
