PROVIDED/The AtlantiCare Community Mobile Market truck will travel around Atlantic City bringing with it healthy, fresh, affordable meal kits for just $10. Visits will be held at different locations throughout the city during 2024.
ATLANTIC CITY - Approximately 100 city families on Wednesday had their first experience with the new AtlantiCare Community Mobile Market truck, which opened at the AtlantiCare HealthPlex in Atlantic City.
The food truck distributed free meal kits containing fresh ingredients, recipes and cooking instructions to create a nutritious pasta dinner for a family of six.
President and CEO Michael J. Charlton and dozens of AtlantiCare volunteers distributed the kits along with vouchers for the future purchase of meal kits.
The AtlantiCare Community Mobile Market truck will be appearing at locations throughout Atlantic City, making complete meal kits with fresh ingredients available to families for just $10.

The AtlantiCare Community Mobile Market truck is supported by a sponsorship from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority. The sponsorship is part of a $5.5 million NJEDA funding commitment supporting a multi-faceted approach to improve and increase access to fresh, healthy, and affordable food in Atlantic City, which ranks second-highest in a list of 50 Food Desert Communities in New Jersey.
