All participants must register the day of the event beginning at 8 a.m. at the Atlantic County Park Nature Center, 109 Route 50, Estell Manor and submit completed artwork by 6:30 p.m. that evening. There is a $20 entry fee for up to two pieces of artwork created that day or up to two photographs taken within the parks from any time of year.

In addition to Plein Air fine art, there will be a Kids' Plein Air activity for children ages 7-12. The $10 entry fee includes instruction, supplies and an 8- by 10-inch mat for framing. Participation is limited to 15. Pre-registration is required at [email protected].

The event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Parks, Inc., a non-profit citizens group established in 1985 to help promote Atlantic County parks, and Atlantic Cape Community College, which will hold an exhibit of submitted works, Nov. 9 through Dec. 1, at the college's Art Gallery on the Mays Landing campus. A Children's Wall will display the work of our younger artists.

Monetary prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded to the top three adult artists and photographers at the exhibit's opening reception on Nov. 9.
