A shredding event will be held in Margate, Nov. 18.
Residents of Margate and Longport are eligible to participate in the annual Free Shredding Day being held 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Margate Public Works garage, 101 N. Benson Ave. Proof of residency is required.
The event is a great opportunity to get rid of sensitive documents and prevent them from getting into the wrong hands, which could result in identity theft. All paper will be shredded on site.
Only paper will be accepted. Remove clips and binders. Residents are instructed to pull up to the shredding truck and items will be unloaded by the technicians and placed in the shredding hopper. There is no need for you to exit your vehicle.
