Margate Police
Following the theft of a vehicle at a local residence Saturday morning, the Margate City Police Department is advising residents to take precautions to safeguard their property by locking their car and garage doors.
The theft of the vehicle was captured on a home security camera at 3:40 a.m. Sept. 9, showing two actors in a covered driveway attempting to gain entrance to the vehicle. One of the actors was seen to be in possession of what appears to be a handgun in the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt or jacket. The two depart the area with the stolen vehicle.
Anyone who encounters someone on their property or captures someone on video is advised to avoid confrontation with the subjects and instead immediately call 911 to report it to the police.
