Margate Community Church Blessing of the Animals 2019.
The Margate Community Church will hold its annual Blessing of the Animals 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15 on the lawn on Sumner Avenue.
Pastor Vicky Ney will preside over a special service blessing the animals, whether they are furry or feathered friends.
Families are encouraged to bring their well-behaved felines, canines and other pets for an individual blessing. If you cannot bring your animal, pet parents can bring a photo of their loved one.
A moment of silence will be held for all those who have crossed Rainbow Bridge, or are involved in sport dog fighting, puppy mills and other inhumane or unethical treatment.
Refreshments will be available following the blessing.
