Students of the Ross School in Margate Blow Bubbles for Autism, Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

MARGATE - Students at the William H. Ross Elementary School Tuesday learned about how people may be different in some ways, but everyone has the ability to become successful - and even become a doctor.

Students attended an assembly with Dr. Kerry Magro as part of the school's Autism Acceptance Month.

Dr. Kerry Magro speaks to elementary school students about being on the autism spectrum.

An award winning national speaker and best-selling author, Kerry is a role model in the disabled community. Non-verbal at at age 2 and diagnosed with autism at age 4, he has overcome countless obstacles to becoming a successful leader.

In May of 2019, Kerry received his doctorate in Educational Technology Leadership from New Jersey City University. He currently is CEO and founder of KFM Making a Difference, a non-profit corporation foused on disability advocacy and housing.

After the assembly, children went outside to the schoolyard where they blew bubbles for autism.
