MARGATE - More than 700 people enjoyed an afternoon of strolling through six breathtaking homes in Margate, Longport and Ventnor during the 35th annual Jewish Family Service House Tour. The event, sponsored by Surroundings Interiors, raised more than $100,000 to benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore, a program that provides essential services, including care coordination, transportation, grocery shopping, meal delivery and social events for adults over age 50.

“As one of the agency’s most popular fundraisers, JFS is grateful for the hundreds of attendees as well as the businesses, sponsors, volunteers and staff who made this a record-breaking event this year,” JFS CEO Andrea Steinberg said in a release. “Attendees enjoyed an exclusive look inside Downbeach homes, which featured state-of-the-art kitchens, ornate fixtures and hardware, beautiful décor, breathtaking views and more. We truly appreciate the homeowners who graciously open their residences each year.”

House Tour Committee members were Suzanne Bruce, Barbara Cohen, Kara Consigli, Rande Dubrow, Jodi Finkelson-Reece, Kim Forte, Beth Fox, Pam Frank, Lori Garber, Martha Karasick, Audrey Panitch Levin, Hope Morgan, Alfi Naim, Hanna Newcomer, Linda Novelli, Eileen Perice, Jane Pressman, Sarah Rosenthal, Linda Rubin, David Schwartz, Taylor Shivers, Beth Shor, Pam Sinderbrand, and Lesley Weinberg. They organized the event and recruited 110 volunteers to ensure guests and homeowners had a memorable experience.

More than 120 participants took the tour to the next level with door-to-door transportation and gift bags offered in the VIP version of the tour. House Tour VIP sponsors offered lunch from Essl’s Dugout and Tacocat, along with ice cream sandwiches and frozen banana treats.

Lucky ticketholders won fabulous prizes, including a Lagos diamond bracelet; a dine around at Dock’s Oyster House, Carmine’s, Steve & Cookie’s, Tomatoes; and a Hard Rock Salon and Spa experience. Guests also bid on more than 80 auction items, including dining certificates, sporting and theater tickets, distinctive health and wellness products, household appliances, celebrity show tapings, and designer handbags.

The House Tour committee is already searching for homes for next year’s tour, scheduled to take place Aug. 4, 2025.
