GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP - The annual Stockton University Foundation Golf Classic will tee off Thursday, Sept. 19 at a new location at Renault Winery and Resort and will feature two new opportunities to support students.
The Early Bird Flight includes breakfast followed by a shotgun start, with lunch and awards following the round of golf. The Afternoon Aces Flight includes lunch, followed by the tournament and a cocktail reception where winners will be announced.
Another new feature this year allows participants to add a named scholarship to any level of support for $5,000, providing an additional way to make a lasting impact on students' lives.
The Stockton Foundation plays a crucial role in removing barriers to student success by providing more than $1 million in annual scholarship support and funding for innovative programs, faculty projects, student groups and other initiatives at the university.
“The Golf Classic is more than just a game, it’s a signature event that supports our students’ futures,” Stockton President Joe Bertolino said. “This year’s exciting new format and location reflect our commitment to enhancing our community’s involvement and impact. We look forward to seeing everyone come together to make a difference in the lives of our students.”
Stockton alumni, community members and friends are invited to swing into action at this event. Your support will directly benefit students through scholarships and vital initiatives, helping them overcome challenges and complete their degrees. The tournament features contests for golfers of all skill levels, including Men's and Women's Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and three Hole-in-One Challenges. The Putt for Prizes offers an opportunity to win cash at the 50/50 raffle.
Tickets are $250 per individual golfer or $1,000 per foursome, and sponsorships start at $500. Graduates of the last decade (classes of 2015-2024) can get a $175 Young Alumni Golf Rate.
“As a Stockton alumnus and local business owner, I’m excited to give back to a place that gave me so much,” said Paul Zamoyta ’82, a first-time sponsor and owner of Coastal Boat Sales in Brick Township. “My son Corey is a 2011 grad, and we both wanted to support this event because it’s a great way to help future students succeed. We’re thrilled to be part of something that makes a difference for the next generation of Ospreys.”
