VENTNOR - The city celebrated the start of the holiday season Friday evening with the lighting of the huge fir tree on the Sacramento Avenue side of City Hall.
Santa arrived to hear wishes from all the good little boys and girls, and the Grinch made an attemp to steal all their toys. Foiled again, Grinch.
The crowd enjoyed the countdown to the tree lighting and afterward, the members of the Ventnor City Fire Department provided hot chocolate and cookies.
