Original Story
It sounds as though the Eagles will be without quarterback Jalen Hurts for their Week 17 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys:
Nick Sirianni on Jalen Hurts:
“Still in the concussion protocol.”
“It’s going to be tough for him to make it this week.”#Eagles
Hurts sustained a concussion in the first quarter of this past Sunday's 36-33 loss to the Washington Commanders:

While it's not unheard of to clear the concussion protocol in less than a week, that's not usually how it works. So Hurts missing Week 17 was always the most likely outcome.
Kenny Pickett — who completed 14 of 24 passes while showing some real limitations against Washington — will be the starter if Hurts can't go. He's appeared on the injury report this week with sore ribs, but the former first-round pick seems intent on playing, assuming Hurts is out:
#Eagles QB Kenny Pickett (ribs) said he was a full go in practice today. Doesn’t expect any limitations on Sunday. “Something I’ll have to deal with.” pic.twitter.com/aA2adx8oTf
If Pickett is the starter, Tanner McKee will be his backup, with the recently-signed Ian Book likely to be the emergency third quarterback.
