MARGATE - Jewish Family Service of Atlantic and Cape May Counties has been awarded a $55,000 grant from the Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. The funds will support the agency's outpatient counseling and Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore care coordination programs.
At JFS, we are grateful for the continued support from the Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. Their financial commitment to the agency's Outpatient Counseling and Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore care coordination programs are to be commended, JFS CEO Andrea Steinberg said.
In 2023, JFS counselors and therapists provided more than 7,000 sessions with children, teenagers and adults. With the need for counseling services continuing to rise, JFS looks to keep pace, and ultimately exceed, last year's figures.
Agency care coordinators are experts in relationship building and social service navigation with older adults and work with 50 older adults, including approximately 10 Holocaust survivors, to ensure they utilize available resources, such as legal, financial, health, mental health and others.
