MARGATE – Thrilling Thursdays are back in Margate with sidewalk sales, movies on the beach and more.
The Margate Business Association promotes Thursdays as great days to do business, have a little fun and keep the kiddos busy before the summer weekends through Aug. 29.
The day starts with the Margate Community Farmers Market at Steve & Cookies By the Bay, Amherst and Monroe avenues, 8:30-11:30 a.m. Get there early as vendors often sell out of their Jersey Fresh produce and locally sourced food items.
Local businesses in the city’s business districts hold sidewalks sales, and encourage shoppers to stop at one of the city’s great eateries for lunch or happy hour.
Then at 6:30 p.m. it’s time to head to the beach at Huntington Avenue for pre-screening entertainment and free movies on the big screen with giveaways too.
Here’s the lineup:
- July 11 – “Under the Boardwalk”*
- July 18 – “Ratatouille,” with Lucy the Elephant crafts and TacocaT food truck
