AC man, 2 juveniles charged in Ventnor car burglaries

VENTNOR - After received several reports Friday, June 14, of motor vehicle burglaries where multiple credit cards were stolen, Ventnor Police conducted a follow-up investigation that led to numerous charges against an Atlantic City man and two juveniles. Det. Sgt. Kevin Brady's followup investigation revealed credit cards belonging to the burglary victims were fraudulently used at various local businesses. With the assistance of the Atlantic City Police Department, Brady obtained surveillance footage from the burglaries and local businesses and identified the three suspects involved. Ra-Quan H. Harris, 21, of Atlantic City, was charged with four counts of burglary, 16 counts of theft, six counts of possession of stolen credit card, two counts of criminal attempt, 14 counts of conspiracy and two counts of employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime. A 16-year-old male from Atlantic City was charged with four counts of burglary, 16 counts of theft, six counts of possession of stolen credit card, two counts of criminal attempt, and 12 counts of conspiracy A 17-year-old male from Galloway Township was charged with four counts of burglary, 16 counts of theft, six counts of possession of stolen credit card, two counts of criminal attempt, and 12 counts of conspiracy. Chief Joseph Fussner credited the hard work and dedication of Brady and the Detective Bureau. “The sheer number of criminal counts against these three individuals speaks volumes to the lengths our men and women will work to investigate these cases," Fussner said. The Ventnor City Police Department reminds the public to remove all valuables and secure their vehicles, especially during the overnight hours, and call police to report suspicious activity.
