Margate Education Foundation to provide hearty laughs and tasty treats, Aug. 3

MARGATE – The Margate Education Foundation is hosting two special events Saturday, Aug. 3 at the Dominick A. Potena Performing Arts Center that are sure to bring on some hearty laughter and fill hungry tummies. 

The Margate Summer Family Food Truck Festival will be held 5-9 p.m. in the parking lot outside the PAC on the 7900-block of Monmouth Avenue. Food truck vendors include Romanelli’s, The Nomad, Ducktown Tavern, PJ Buckets, Maui Joe’s, Nucky’s and Grubbin’ Gringos. The food truck festival is free to attend, and children are welcome.

Then, at 6:30 p.m., the doors to the PAC will open for adults over age 21 only to enjoy a Comedy Night performance by comedian, speaker and consultant Richie Redding, creator of “Funnier Than You Are,” and Friends. Showtime is at 7 p.m.

    


Tickets are $55 per person and benefit the Dominick A. Potena Performing Arts Center, where new upgrades are on the drawing board to help keep the arts alive in South Jersey.
