Atlantic City's Boys & Girls Club got a win at an annual fishing tourney without casting a reel.

Participants in the Atlantic City Quest for the Ring Championship Fishing Week donated 1,500 pounds of of fresh fish to the club.

The annual tournament is named for Hall-of-Fame NFL coach and announcer Jimmy Johnson.

Greentree Mortgage Company sponsored a fillet station where Chef Pam Green and Dak Daddy's Oyster Shack prepared the fish that would share with the club community.

Chef Pam Green spent hours volunteering to fillet the donated fish.

“We are immensely thankful to Greentree Mortgage and John and Laura Mirenda for their unwavering support and generosity,” acting club CEO Brian Little said. “Their partnership, along with the event organizers Todd and Valerie Roy, and the amazing team of the Jimmy Johnson’s Quest for the Ring fishing tournament, the Atlantic City Sports Commission, Hard Rock and Golden Nugget, enables us to distribute the pounds of outstanding filleted tuna and marlin annually to like-minded organizations in our community, making a significant impact.”

Chef Leslie Daniel, who works at the Hard Rock's Kuro, paid a special visit to the club to show members how to prepare the fish. The kids also made coleslaw and French fries.
