Margate swears in 2 Class 1 police officers

MARGATE - Commissioner of Public Safety Cathy Horn administered the oath of office Monday, June 3 for two new Class 1 officers who will be working for the Margate City Police Department this summer. Justin Gooden is sworn in as a Class 1 police officer. Justin Gooden and Dante Forman too their oaths of office during the Board of Commissioners meeting as family members stood by to support them and hold the Bible. They will be assigned to parking enforcement and other minor police matters to free up time for full-time officers to tackle more serious issues. Dante Forman takes the oath of office. Residents and visitors can expect to see Officers Gooden and Foreman at community events this summer, including the next big event, Beachstock: The Planet’s Biggest Beach Party on the beach at Huntington Avenue June 29, and at other public events.
