Animal shelter celebrated Independence Day with free pet adoptions

The love of your life is waiting for you at the Atlantic County Animal Shelter. PLEASANTVILLE - The Atlantic County Animal Shelter will celebrate Independence Day with a special no-cost adoption promotion, July 1-8, for dogs and cats available for immediate adoption. The shelter will be closed on July 4. “Now is the perfect time to give a pet its independence and help it find a caring, forever home,” animal shelter manager Kathy Kelsey said. This special Independence Day promotion is in addition to a 50% discount on adoption fees for senior pets and cats available for immediate adoption. Veterans who adopt a pet are also entitled to receive a 50% discount at all times. Regular adoption fees are $110 for dogs and puppies and $85 for cats and kittens and include mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and free veterinary consultation. Adopted canines also receive two free obedience classes. This is a great time to look at the wonderful animals available at the Atlantic County Animal Shelter.
