ABSECON - Join Together Atlantic County, a countywide substance misuse prevention coalition, is holding its annual Middle School Public Service Announcement Contest for students in grades 6-8 in Atlantic County.

Students are invited to create an 8.5- by 11-inch landscape direction PSA about natural
highs or ways to stay drug free. The top three winners will receive prizes and the first place winner's entry may be turned into a billboard. The contest will close on Friday, April 5.

Youth who are involved in constructive, supervised activities during after school hours and on
weekends are less likely to use drugs. Encouraging involvement in positive activities and participating in community events are powerful ways to prevent drug use.

By participating in the contest, youth help to support Join Together Atlantic County in its
mission to prevent, reduce and/or delay substance use among youth of Atlantic County in a long term and sustainable manner.
