LONGPORT - The borough will conduct its annual hydrant testing Monday through Friday, April 1-5.
Conducting flow tests allows the Longport Volunteer Fire Department to ensure hydrants are woking properly while flushing the water distribution system.
Residents may see a discoloration of tap water, which is not harmful and will dissipate in a few hours. Residents should avoid washing laundry, espcially white loads, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through the week.
