Chef Leslie Daniel, winner of Guy's Grocery Games, is participating in Let's Get Cookin'.

ATLANTIC CITY - Acclaimed Executive Chef Leslie Daniel, winner of the Food Network's Guy's Grocery Games, will be participating in the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City's Let's Get Cookin' culinary competition and fundraiser scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21 at the Showboat.

Daniel is currently executive chef at Kuro's, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City's new-style contemporary Japanese kitchen.

Affectionately referred to as Chef Too Hype,' Chef Leslie's positive outlook and love for the culinary arts are contagious, Boys and Girls Club CEO Dr. Charles A. Wallace II said. We are privileged to have his support for our kids.

No stranger to culinary destinations, Daniel has worked in critically acclaimed restaurants in Miami, Las Vegas, and Atlantic City. He joined the opening team for Kuro in 2018 as sous chef and quickly rose through the ranks through his professionalism, passion, and contagiously positive attitude. Under his leadership, Kuro was recognized by USA Today as the No. 1 casino restaurant in 2020 and as a top hotel restaurant in 2022 and 2023.

At Let's Get Cookin' guests will have a chance to sample heirloom recipes and gourmet creations from the area's best local chefs and most talented amateur chefs. The recipes will be judged on a variety of criteria. Attendees will receive a bound recipe book as a memento of the evening. In addition, there will be a chance to win raffle baskets and bid on auction items, all to support the cause.

Proceeds of Let's Get Cookin' 2024 will sustain and expand the various programs offered by the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City. By providing a safe and welcoming environment, the club empowers youth to build a brighter future.

The event is chaired by Visit Atlantic City President and CEO Larry Sieg and Steel Pier Director of Sales and Marketing Sharon Franz. A committee of professionals are volunteering their time to work with ACBGC staff to coordinate the event.

Tickets are $100 for general admission and $150 for VIP tickets. VIP ticket holders enjoy early entry and access to the VIP lounge at 5 p.m.
