American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be held Saturday in Egg Harbor Township.
EGG HARBOR TOWNSSHIP - The American Cancer Society will hold its annual Relay for Life 1-8 p.m. Saturday, May 18 at the Police Activities League, 2542 Ridge Ave. Relay for Life is open to anyone who wants to participate. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
This year's theme is Team Up for a Cure. Participants will pay tribute to their favorite sports teams by decorating their fundraising tables. Cancer survivors are the guests of honor. Along with their caregivers, the survivors will be featured during the Survivor and Caregiver Laps around the track during the opening ceremony, and with a complimentary lunch reception.
In addition, there will be food trucks, vendors, and activities for all ages. Activities include trivia, Zumba, a wing eating contest, themed laps, and more. A special highlight is the Luminaria candlelight ceremony to honor survivors and to remember those lost to cancer. Luminaria candles line the track with names and pictures of loved ones.
