Dak Prescott Likely To Miss Week 10 Matchup With Eagles

  • Eagles

What was already trending towards a lost season for the Dallas Cowboys might be ready to shift into maximum overdrive just in time for a Week 10 matchup against the Eagles at AT&T Stadium.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Monday that after leaving yesterday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons with the hamstring injury, Prescott is "expected to miss multiple weeks."

ESPN's Adam Schefter hears that Prescott might actually land in injured reserve, which would mean he would have to miss a minimum of four weeks.

The Cowboys haven't had much playoff success with Prescott, but they have played well against the Eagles since he became their starter in 2016. The Cowboys are 9-4 in the 13 starts that Prescott has made against the Eagles in his career. Backup Cooper Rush has had some flashes in his career, but in his lone start against the Eagles in October of 2022, he completed just 18 of 38 passes, throwing one touchdown and three interceptions.

Additionally, while the news is better on star wideout CeeDee Lamb, Schefter says it's no guarantee he plays Sunday either:

There are still some concerning trends with the Eagles, and you cannot take any NFC East games lightly. But the Eagles have won four games in a row since the bye, while the 3-5 Cowboys have a -54 point differential. Week 10 should be a comfortable win for the Eagles.
