The NJ Division of Taxation has extended the deadline to apply for the ANCHOR Benefit program. The deadline has been extended to Dec. 6 to allow time for processing applications through the Thanksgiving holiday. The previous deadline was Nov. 30.

ANCHOR benefits will be distributed on a rolling basis within 90 days of application.

The program offers tax relief to NJ property owners and renters who meet certain income limits. It is based on residency, gross income of $250,000 or less, and age from 2021. Reimbursements range from $1,000 to $1,750 based on age and income.
