Longport American Legion Post 469 will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11 at Thomas B. Reed Park at the foot of the Longport bridge, 27th and Oberon avenues.
This year’s ceremony will include the installation of several engraved brick pavers to honor Longport veterans. The pavers will be installed in in the memorial walkway around the sundial monument in the park.
The American Legion and its Auxiliary and other groups will present wreaths honoring veterans, past and present. Rifle salutes will be rendered.
Immediately following the 30-minute ceremony, all attendees will be invited to a social gathering with food and beverages hosted by the Longport Public Library at Longport Borough Hall.
