MAYS LANDING - The Rutgers University Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Training program is seeking participants interested in becoming a Master Gardener.
Information sessions will be held mornings and evenings during November and December to share information about the program and provide information needed to decide if becoming a Master Gardener is in your future.
Interested gardeners can learn about the role of a Master Gardener, the program’s structure, and the commitment needed to obtain the designation.
Talks are limited to 40 participants and allow time for questions and discussion.

Master Gardener classes begin in February and will be held 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and some Thursdays for approximately 20 weeks.
Classes include information about soil, indoor and outdoor plants, propagation, insect management and diseases, native plants, pruning, landscape design, small farming and more.
Master Gardeners are required to serve 70 house of community service, including 40 hours on the Atlantic County Master Gardener Help Line.
