LONGPORT - Police here responded at 4:51 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 to a motor vehicle crash that resulted in an overturned vehicle at the intersection Winchester and N. Evergreen avenues.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a Mercedes Benz, Danielle Freda, approached the stop sign at N. Evergreen Avenue at Winchester Avenue. As the Mercedes Benz began pulling out slowly in an effort to see down Winchester Avenue, a collision occurred with a BMW SUV traveling east on Winchester towards Margate. The collision caused the BMW SUV to strike a parked vehicle on Winchester Avenue and subsequently overturn on Winchester Avenue.
The driver of the overturned vehicle, Caryl Haynes-Cogan, and passenger Dennis Cogan were transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The condition of the individuals is currently unknown.
