Atlantic County election officials are reminding residents that the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The Superintendent of Elections offices in Atlantic City at 1333 Atlantic Ave. and in Mays Landing at 5920 Main St. will remain open until 9 p.m. on Oct. 15, as required by law.
Any new registrant must submit their paper or online voter registration form by this deadline.
Anyone who has moved to or within Atlantic County, had a name change (divorce/marriage) or who would like to update their signature or any other pertinent information, are encouraged to do so by Oct. 15 so their voter profile is as current as possible for the coming election.
With the assistance of a smart phone, tablet or computer, online voter registration is fast and easy at www.Vote.Nj.gov. Click the box titled “Register to Vote” and follow the prompts to the form. Have your New Jersey driver’s license or last four digits of your Social Security number available and your information will be electronically expedited to the Commissioner of Registration. Paper forms can be returned in person or by U.S. mail by the Oct.15 deadline.
