MARGATE – Fool Moon Theater will present its production of William Gibson’s play, “The Miracle Worker” Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Sept. 20-22 and 27-29 at the Margate Community Church, 8900 Ventnor Ave. The performance on Sunday, Sept. 22 will be signed by an ASL signer. Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
The classic play chronicles the life of Helen Keller who became deaf and blind at age 19 months, and her teacher Annie Sullivan who helped her learn to communicate. The story is about their relationship and Keller’s achievements despite her disabilities, and explores themes of motivation, connection and the importance of education.
General Admission tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for senior citizens and $20 for students, and can be purchased online at www.foolmoontheater.org.
