MARGATE – The Board of Education Wednesday, Sept. 11, swore in a new member who was appointed to the Type I district by Mayor Michael Collins.
Stephen Swift took the oath of office during the meeting. He is a sergeant in the Margate City Police Department where he has worked since 2005. He graduated from the Gloucester County Police Academy where he served as class president. A graduate of the Margate public schools, Swift earned a degree in political science from Stockton University.
He and his wife have three children who are attending the Margate schools.
