MLB Releases Jersey Sales Data, Reveals Two Phillies in Top 15

Shohei Ohtani topped MLB jersey sales for the second consecutive season, the Associated Press reported on Monday. That's not surprising, as Ohtani made baseball history this year with 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in the same season.

Bryce Harper won the race for second place, and Trea Turner came in 13th. The Phillies were one of just five MLB teams with more than one player represented in the top 20.

Unfortunately, anyone who bought a jersey in 2024 was sort of ripped off. After coming under attack for quality issues, the products will be redesigned next season. Perhaps most notably, the names on the back of jerseys will revert to their previous, larger size in 2025. Tim described the other changes in detail here.
