MARGATE

Margate firefighters and area moms hop to it for family fun

  • Community

The Margate City Fire Department and Margate Mothers Association are getting egg-cited about their annual community event scheduled for Sunday, April 13.

The firefighters and parents are busy stuffing plastic eggs with candy and coins this week in anticipation of hundreds of children meandering across the lawn in front of Firehouse No. 2 to find little treasures.

The Easter Egg Hunt starts at noon for children in four age groups: 0-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9 an older, to retrieve 2,000 Easter eggs. There will be food and fun and prizes for all ages.

Of course, the Easter Bunny will be there waiting for everyone, whether young or just young at heart, to enjoy an afternoon of family fun.

So, grab your Easter basket and head out to the firehouse, 405 N. Brunswick Drive. Happy egg hunting!
