MARGATE - Betty’s Restaurant Group will expand with the grand opening of Betty’s BBQ & Fried Chicken Friday, May 2nd on Amherst Avenue in the Marina District.
Betty's BBQ and Fried Chicken, the perfect addition to the Margate dining scene, will feature mouth-watering favorites including St. Louis ribs, brisket, pulled pork, fried chicken and more. "Robin (Kramer) and I are excited to open Betty's BBQ & Fried Chicken,” owner Steve Marchel said in a release. “We are still amazed and gratified at the great response to Betty's Seafood Shack, as we enter our third year from our seasonal and year-round friends. BBBQ&FC was born from the same spirit. We are planning to offer the best in creative and flavorful Texas-Style BBQ and Southern Fried Chicken, while using the highest quality proteins and ingredients.”
Also, Betty's Seafood Shack, which is located next door to Betty's BBQ, will be featuring new menu items for summer 2025, including seafood towers, poke bowls and smoked salmon, whitefish salad and salmon candy from Waterdog, along with new side items including crispy Brussels sprouts and garlic sauteed broccoli to pair with classics such as Betty’s famous lobster roll, clams casino and grilled or fried seafood selections. “We are insistent in using the freshest and best ingredients, as we do at The Seafood Shack,” co-owner Robin Kramer said. “Who else uses all-natural free range chicken tenders with the tendon removed? No one, as it costs more, but it's how Steve and I like to eat. Same goes with our prime brisket and heritage pork for our proteins. We serve food that we'd be thrilled to eat as consumers. I make our scratch-made banana pudding with fresh whipped cream and our chocolate chip cookies have Ghirardelli chocolate. We are a casual joint on the bay, but sourcing the best ingredients and preparing our food with the highest care belies our low-key vibe."
Both eateries will share indoor/outdoor dining space on the Margate bayfront and guests from Betty’s BBQ & Fried Chicken are welcome to bring their items to Betty’s Seafood Shack inside dining room, or for a gorgeous sunset view outside on Katie’s Back Deck.
