For anyone venturing off Absecon Island to the Mainland area, be aware that beginning Tuesday, Sept 2 through Friday, Sept. 5, a full road closure will be in effect 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Shore Road in Linwood between Ocean Heights and Seaview avenues for utility work by NJ American Water Co.
Motorists should follow the posted detour signs and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
Police and traffic directors will be on site to assist.
