MARGATE - Due to a nasty wind and rain storm Friday into Saturday, Santa's tour of Margate had to be postponed until Sunday evening.
Santa had planned to take his annual tour of Margate aboard a Margate Beach Patrol surfboat on Friday, but the stormy weather made it too dangerous for his reindeer to fly into Margate.
Good little boys and girls should look for Santa to ride by their house starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21. His sleigh, which is really a surfboat, will leave Fire Station #2 on New Brunswick Avenue at 5 p.m. traveling along city streets to greet children and their families.
The Margate City Fire Department will act in the place of Santa's real reindeer and pull his surfboat around town according to the travel route map below.
Children should listen for the sound of the sirens that signal Santa is on his way.
