Forget about hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
It was new furry family members that were being held up Sunday at the fourth annual Humane Society of Atlantic County's Puppy Bowl.
The Garden State Beer Company in Galloway Township hosted this year's event.
For $20, attendees got a beer and some "puppy time."
But the local spin on the national canine answer to the Super Bowl was about more than raising some money for the society and getting some suds and pets for those attending.
Some in attendance adopted a puppy.
"We love this event so much every year," the society wrote on its Facebook page. "Congrats to all our pups that found their families."
