TRENTON – New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy will deliver his final State of the State Address in the Assembly Chamber at the New Jersey State House 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14.
"Over the past seven years, we have built a state that is stronger, fairer, and more prepared to face the future," Murphy said in a statement. "But our job is far from over. As we begin our final year of partnership, we remain more committed than ever to delivering economic security and opportunity to every New Jerseyan. And over the next 12 months, we are going to run through the tape in making New Jersey the best state – anywhere in America – to live, work, and raise a family."
The state will select the next governor during the Gubernatorial Election in Nov. 4. The field of candidates is deep for the Primary Election, with six Democrats and four Republicans running for their party's nomination.
Murphy has signed an executive order moving the primary back a week to accommodate the Jewish religious holiday of Shavuot, during which Jews refrain from driving, writing or using electronic devices.
The primary date was changed from June 3 to June 10.
The 2025 State of the State will be livestreamed on the governor's official Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages, as well as via LiveU Matrix.
