Sign up now for summer Theater Arts camp

The Ventnor Cultural Arts Center will host South Jersey Players’ third Theater Arts Camp for 6-11-year-olds 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays in August. The camp will be held at the Ventnor Cultural Arts Center 6500 Atlantic Ave.

Campers may attend any or all the sessions being held Aug. 2, 9 and 23.

No session Aug. 16. The fee is $40 per session.

Producing Artistic Director Marlene May will serve as the curriculum developer with Yamirah Williams as the lead teacher. Max Kraftsow and Aislinn Erickson will assist. Michelle Tomko returns for a stand-up comedy workshop Aug. 23..

Arts Center Director Susan Van Duyne Hunter will supervise the camp with Kelly Kunik and Kim Halverson assisting.

The Theater Arts Camp will focus on creative drama skills. The Saturday sessions may include warmups, movement, theater games, scene and monologue work, improvisation and short skits. 

Parents/guardians are invited to a sharing of the session’s activities from 11:45 a.m. to noon.
