The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City will help feed the community this year, thanks to the donation of participants in the annual Jimmy Johnson’s Atlantic City Quest for the Ring Championship Fishing Week.
The tournament has made it a tradition to have a table where participants can donate their catches.
This year, the club is sharing the wealth ... or, fish.
Fresh fish will be available through the Club Café Window at the Teen Center on a first come, first served basis from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Freshly caught fish — including blue marlin, big eye and yellowfin tuna — were donated to the club as part of JJ’s Catch for the Community, which includes filleting services sponsored by Greentree Mortgage Company, L.P.
“This partnership is a perfect example of what can happen when community and generosity come together,” Boys & Girls Club CEO Tracey Triniwell said. “We are so grateful to the Jimmy Johnson Quest for the Ring Fishing Tournament and all the fishermen who donated their catch to help nourish our families.”
The Teen Center is located at 317 N. Pennsylvania Ave.
Sharing the high-quality protein food is part of the Boys & Girls Club's commitment to supporting the health and wellness of local youth and their families.
