MARGATE - The city's Fire Department has sounded the alarm for summer fun. The department will hold its annual Open House 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 25 in the rear parking lot at the Margate Public Library, 8100 Atlantic Ave.
The event includes lots of family fun and important information that can save a life in the event of a fire. Children of all ages are invited to take part in various demonstations, including crawling below the smoke, learning the sound of a smoke detector, establishing a family escape route and more. There will be free giveaways and refreshments.
The event is being sponsored by the Margate Dairy Bar.
