The Longport Police Department has identified and charged four juveniles in connection with a series
of vehicle thefts and related offenses that took place in the borough in late 2024.
The stolen vehicles include a BMW 330i, a BMW X7, and a Honda Accord.
The following charges have been issued to each offender:
Juvenile 1:
- Motor Vehicle Theft (3 counts)
- Conspiracy (2 counts)
- Unlawful taking of means of conveyance “joyriding” (2 counts)
- Criminal Mischief (1 count)
Juvenile 2:
- Motor Vehicle Theft (1 count)
- Conspiracy (1 count)
- Joyriding (1 count)
Juvenile 3:
- Motor Vehicle Theft (2 counts)
- Conspiracy (1 count)
- Criminal Mischief (1 count)
Juvenile 4:
- Motor Vehicle Theft (1 count)
- Joyriding (1 count)
- Criminal Mischief (1 count)
Sgt. Quinton Wright and Officer Jonathan Saggese are the investigating officers.
According to a release, the Longport Police Department will continue to work diligently to investigate and address such offenses, ensuring those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
“We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or crimes to help prevent further incidents,” the release states.
