SOMERS POINT - Shore Medical Center has announced that Herminio DeLaRosa, a dedicated maintenance mechanic, has been named its Employee of the Year for his outstanding service and commitment to the hospital’s operations. A resident of Mays Landing, DeLaRosa was honored in a ceremony attended by his peers and hospital staff at Shore Feb,27.
“Herminio DeLaRosa is an incredible employee. His work ethic is impeccable and is key to success in our efforts,” Senior Director of Logistics, Plant Operations & Maintenance Bob Robertson said. “He treats the maintenance shop as if he is the owner and demonstrates his commitment to Shore Medical Center by always being the first and last person there every single day. Additionally, Herminio is working on his High-Pressure Boiler License in hopes of moving to an operating engineering position in the boiler room, further demonstrating his dedication to the hospital.”
“My goal has always been to make sure that everyone at Shore Medical Center feels as comfortable as possible. In my mind, the patient always comes first. I enjoy working in this environment and being able to help others. I am so humbled to be honored as Employee of the Year," DeLa Rosa said.
“It was great to see Herminio recognized for his incredible work ethic, problem-solving skills, and commitment to ensuring that the hospital operates efficiently” Director of Plant Operations Brad Foltz said. “Not only is he a skilled mechanic, but he is a great guy. He is always positive, smiling, and making people feel good. We are all really happy for him.”
“I worked with him closely, and have seen time and time again his willingness to tackle challenging maintenance issues and go the extra mile for our staff and patients," Plant Operations Supervisor Jim Crawford added.
