Atlantic City's Air Show will return this year, the mayor confirmed to BreakingAC on Tuesday.
"It's truly a great day here in the City of Atlantic City," Mayor Marty Small said. "Today we announced the Air Show is coming back in 2025, something this administration has pushed for."
He did not give any details including a date or who would be headlining.
The annual show did not happen last year after a four-month period that saw a promise of a possible fix last March, that included the South Jersey Transportation Association putting up $300,000 with the Atlantic City International Airport will act as presenter.
But by July, the final decision came that the show could not be saved.
Some then believed that Wildwood's "Thunder Over the Ocean Airshow" was an Atlantic City replacement.
An official announcement is expected to come later.
Small gave kudos to the city's partners at the CRDA and Visit Atlantic City for the news, that also includes a summer concert series at Boardwalk Hall. It will be four or five shows that would replace the beach concerts that the city is hoping to bring back next year.
CRDA Executive Director Eric Scheffler said he could not yet comment on the airshow.
