MARGATE - The Marjorie & Lewis Katz JCC is thrilled to host the 10th annual Jackie & Hank Herskowitz Sports Night with a special appearance by former Philadelphia Eagles star and two-time Super Bowl champion, Brandon Graham, 5:40 p.m. Thursday, July 24. Graham recently announced his retirement and has left an indelible mark on Philadelphia sports with an incredible 15-season career, two Super Bowl victories, and a reputation as one of the most positive and charismatic figures in football.
Graham’s infectious energy and positivity have made him an icon in Philadelphia sports. His leadership on and off the field is a testament to his character and dedication. Graham announced his retirement from the NFL in a press conference March 18 at the NovaCare Complex, seated between two Lombardi trophies.
Throughout his career, Graham's relentless drive and leadership earned him respect from teammates, coaches, and fans alike. His standout performances, including his game-changing strip sack in Super Bowl LII, solidified his place as an Eagles legend. Off the field, his passion for philanthropy and mentoring young athletes has made him a beloved figure in the community.
Also included in this year’s event will be a special appearance by NFL veteran and master magician Jon Dorenbos. Dorenbos, a former long snapper for the Philadelphia Eagles, is known for his inspirational life story and world-class magic performances. Overcoming personal tragedy, he found solace in magic, later becoming a finalist on "America’s Got Talent" and a sought-after motivational speaker. His captivating performances blend illusion, storytelling, and resilience, leaving audiences inspired and entertained.
Dave Goldstein, South Jersey Ambassador for Ainsley’s Angels, will be honored with the Broken Glass Award. Goldstein will be recognized for his dedication to inclusion in endurance sports and his years of racing alongside his late son Josh, and Team Josh in the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series.
Sports Night is named in honor of the late Jackie & Hank Herskowitz of Margate, whose philanthropy has enriched the community in countless ways. The annual event raises funds for Camp By The Sea and early childhood financial assistance, that enhance lives across Atlantic County.
“This milestone 10th annual Jackie & Hank Herskowitz Sports Night helps support the critical needs of our JCC community, including financial assistance for Camp, Early Childhood, and Membership, ensuring that our programs remain accessible to all,” JCC CEO Marg Rosenblatt said. “We are grateful for the continued support of the Herskowitz family, our dedicated committee, sponsors, attendees and staff who make this event a success year after year.”
General admission for Sports Night is $225 per ticket, which includes dinner, open bar and access to exciting live and silent auctions. VIP ticket packages and sponsorship opportunities are available, offering guests an exclusive Meet & Greet with Brandon Graham during the reception.
