“The therapy garden is an extension of the healing process,” Director of Philanthropy Erin Luurtsema said. “It offers a peaceful, natural setting where rehabilitation patients can work on mobility, balance, and sensory engagement in a calming environment. Whether they’re walking the path, tending to plants, or simply enjoying the fresh air, the garden supports both physical and emotional recovery.”

The garden has grown over the years through the generosity of donors, including the OceanFirst Foundation, Encore Rehabilitation, and the Life & Legacy/Jewish Federation Foundation. With the help of the community, it will continue to flourish as a space of peace and healing.
