EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - ACUA invites you to celebrate America Recycles Day 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at the ACUA Recycling Center, 6700 Delilah Rd. Raindate Nov. 16.
This family-friendly event is free and open to all Atlantic County residents who want to discover the journey of recycling beyond the curb.
Explore the ACUA recycling facility, where you can see firsthand what happens to materials after collection. Kids can climb aboard one of our collection trucks, and everyone can enjoy interactive crafts, games and activities. ACUA mascot Supercan will be there too.
The event will also showcase creative recycled artworks submitted for this year’s Recycling Art Contest. Attend composting demonstrations and get eco-friendly tips. Various environmental organizations will be there to share information and fun activities.
You can also recycle your uncarved Halloween pumpkin. Bring it the ACUA and it will be donated to an area farm or animal sanctuary to keep them out of the landfill. No paint, sparkles or glitter.
America Recycles Day, a national initiative of Keep America Beautiful, is a dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling across the United States.
