MARGATE - The Marjorie and Lewis Katz Jewish Community Center recently launched two exciting new sports programs for toddlers and young children — Multi-Sport Tots and HoopsterTots — in partnership with Skyhawks Sports Academy, a nationally recognized leader in youth sports instruction.
The six-week sessions kick off duiring November and are designed to introduce children ages 2-7 to the world of sports through fun, skill-building activities that promote balance, coordination, teamwork, and confidence - all in a playful, positive environment.
“We’re excited to partner with Skyhawks Sports to bring these nationally acclaimed programs to our community,” JCC Associate Executive Director Brian Adler said in a release. “Through these sessions, our youngest participants will develop not only physical skills, but also social confidence, cooperation and a lifelong love for staying active.”
Multi-Sport Tots being held Sundays beginning Nov. 9, will allow children to explore a variety of sports and activities that encourage balance, coordination and teamwork. Open to children ages 2-5; parent participation encouraged for children under 3.
HoopsterTots, being offered Thursdays beginning Nov. 13, is a basketball program focused on dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork using adjustable hoops for age-appropriate challenges. Open to children ages 2-7; parent participation encouraged for children under 3
Both programs run for six weeks at the Katz JCC, 501 N. Jerome Ave.
