Atlantic County and the NJ Department of Transportation issues several travel advisories for roadways that lead to Atlantic City.
RT 40 Project between Hamilton Common Drive, Mays Landing and West End Avenue, Atlantic City
On Monday, Nov. 10 through Friday, Nov. 14, the NJ Department of Transportation has scheduled the following temporary closures on Route 40 both eastbound and westbound.
· Temporary right lane closures: Franklin Blvd in Pleasantville to West End Ave intersection in Atlantic City from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
· Temporary shoulder lane closures: Franklin Blvd in Pleasantville to West End Ave intersection in Atlantic City from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
· Temporary right lane closures: Jug handle A to Tilton Road intersection in Egg Harbor Township from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The shoulder lane and right lane closures are necessary for performing underground electrical work, traffic signal installation, and concrete flatwork.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution and anticipate potential delays in the work area. The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other unexpected events.
Rt. 30 over Absecon Inlet Bridge, Atlantic City
On Monday, Nov. 10 and continuing through Friday, Nov. 21, lane closures are expected on the Rt. 30 drawbridge over Absecon Inlet (MP 56 to 57.5) in Atlantic City,9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, for scheduled preventative maintenance work by the NJ Department of Transportation. One lane in each direction will remain open at all times. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution and anticipate potential delays in the work area. The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other unexpected events.
Ohio Avenue, Absecon
On Tuesday, Nov. 11, a single lane, alternating traffic pattern will be in effect on Ohio Avenue in Absecon, between Station Avenue and Shore Road, 7 am – 3:30 pm, weather permitting. Motorists should follow the posted work zone signs and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
