Ventnor police are asking for the public's help in a hit-and-run that left an elderly pedestrian seriously injured last week.
Several people called 911 at about 6:15 p.m. Thursday for a pedestrian struck at Ventnor and Newport avenues Capt. David Gaeckle said.
The vehicle fled west on Ventnor Avenue.
Patrol officers arrived to find the 92-year-old resident had serious injuries. The man, whose name was not released, remains hospitalized.
The vehicle is described as a white Volvo SUV, possibly a model XC40. There should be passenger side damage.
Anyone with information regarding the accused vehicle or the investigation is asked to call Ventnor police at 609-822-2101.
