VENTNOR – Saturday is the day to clean out the closets and rid yourself of the clothing that you no longer want along with reams of paper cluttering your home office. The city will hold its annual Fall Cleanup 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 4 at Ski Beach, Dorset Avenue at the bay.
In addition to shredding papers and documents, residents will be able to repurpose clothing that no longer fits, is out of style, has stains or broken zippers, or items you just don’t like anymore.
Residents can bring items in plastic bags to the shredder on site. Clothing donations, including footwear, accessories, linens, luggage and stuffed animals will be collected, repurposed and avoid being put into a landfill.
The program, sponsored by the Ventnor Green Team, is free to drop off. Just pull up your vehicle and recycling helpers will unload materials from the vehicle.
